How Bandcamp Downloader works
A plain-language walkthrough, from pasting a Bandcamp link to saving your file — no technical background needed.
-
1
Copy the Bandcamp link
Open the track or album page on Bandcamp and copy its full web address from your browser's address bar — for example
https://artist.bandcamp.com/album/album-nameorhttps://artist.bandcamp.com/track/track-name. -
2
Paste it into Bandcamp Downloader
Go back to the homepage and paste the link into the input box. A small "Detected" chip appears when we recognize a track or album URL.
-
3
We look up the release
Click Download and we fetch the release's details straight from Bandcamp — title, artist, cover art, and the track list.
-
4
Pick what to download
For a track: the MP3, or just the cover art. For an album: a ZIP of every track with the cover included, or the cover on its own.
-
5
Download link appears
We prepare the file on our server and a Download button appears the moment it's ready — a few seconds for a single track, longer for a full album. Tap it to save the file.
What this tool can and can't do
Bandcamp Downloader only retrieves audio that Bandcamp already serves publicly for streaming (128 kbps MP3). It does not log in, does not bypass purchases or private streams, and cannot produce the lossless or higher-bitrate files that come with buying a release. If you love the music, buy it — the artist gets paid.
