Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use Bandcamp Downloader, you submit a URL for us to process. We receive that URL, the platform we detect for it, and standard technical request data (IP address, user agent, timestamps). We do not require or collect your name, email address, or any account information, because no account is needed to use the tool.

How we use it

The URL you submit is used only to fetch and prepare the requested content for download. We may log requests (URL, timestamp, IP address) briefly for security, abuse prevention, and debugging purposes.

File storage and retention

Files generated in response to your request are stored temporarily on our servers so that you can download them. These files are automatically deleted within 24-48 hours. We do not keep permanent copies of any content processed through the tool.

No accounts, no tracking profiles

There is no login or account system. We do not build advertising or tracking profiles tied to individual users. Any request logs kept for abuse prevention are not used for any other purpose and are periodically purged.

Third parties

To retrieve content, our backend makes requests to Bandcamp and its media CDN on your behalf. We do not sell your data to third parties. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may see your IP address when your browser fetches them.

Cookies and local storage

We use a session cookie strictly for CSRF protection (preventing malicious cross-site form submissions). This cookie contains no personal data and expires when your browser session ends.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the tool after changes means you accept the revised policy.
